Helping the Community

The Societa’ da Vinci is comprised of a group of dedicated Italian American men in the greater Wilmington Delaware region.  Our organization is dedicated to promoting the positive aspects of our heritage as well as helping families in need, providing educational grants and supporting cultural events and institutions in our community.

This non-profit organization has direct ties to the Wilmington Community and its membership is comprised of men from the various professions, educational, business and entrepreneurial segments of the Italian American Community.  All the funds raised by the Societa’ Da Vinci go directly to the community.

Each year, the society awards thousands of dollars in grants to support the work of nonprofits addressing Delaware’s greatest needs and opportunities, with an eye to building and promoting the Italian heritage.

Societa’ da Vinci & The Justinian Society of Delaware County
Joint Scholarship Application Program

The Società da Vinci and the Delaware County Justinian Society are proud to present a joint scholarship program dedicated to helping individuals in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware achieve a career in the legal profession.

Both of our organizations share the belief that “every person can and will learn with the proper educational resources.” This shared philosophy facilitates partnerships with key stakeholders to increase the academic achievement of students as they pursue their careers in the legal profession.

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial and moral support to deserving second and/or third-year law students enrolled in an accredited law school. The scholarship may also be applied to Bar Exam preparatory class expenses and state bar examinations.

The minimum scholarship amount is $1,000. The maximum amount of each scholarship and the number of scholarships awarded annually are solely determined by the members of Società da Vinci. Scholarship funds will be awarded to the applicant upon evidence of registration in an accredited law school, provided they truthfully complete and submit this application according to the terms and conditions specified. All applications will be carefully reviewed, verified, and selected by Società da Vinci through a motion put forth by the Board Members and voted on by the full membership.

A scholarship will specifically be awarded to a student who meets the eligibility criteria established below.
